Encyclia tampensis, The Butterfly Orchid - anyone want to hazard a guess as to where this one is native to? If you said Tampa, Florida, you’re right! One of the US’s best orchid species, this is a miniature Encyclia that grows fast and smells like chocolate when in bloom. Capable of taking temps from 32-110°F, it grows best mounted or in a basket in bright shade. Water often when it’s actively growing! These are usually summer bloomers and will start blooming in a 2" pot.
