Coelogyne cristata
Coelogyne cristata
Native to the western Himalayas, you'll find C. cristata growing way up in the mountains (2500m+) of India, Nepal, and Bhutan. While it often grows on exposed rocks, the weather is usually overcast; that means this species is great for shady growing. It thrives with wet summers and cool winters, and if you grow it in baskets or net pots it typically doubles in size each year. Flowers are big and phenomenally fragrant. One of the best species I grow! Blooming size plants in 4" net pots on offer.
